Thanks to the editors for this award. We at the KHVT have poured our hearts and souls out in the form of concrete for any who wants to skate! Thanks for the encouragement! We couldn't have done it without the help of everyone in the community and all the donations! Come out and support us at our Oct. 15th Sk8 Contest/Benefit at the Skatium. Best Place to Skate - 2010
Kingshighway Skateboarding KHVT
Forget the skate parks attached to community centers and shopping malls. You want some legitimate skateboarding street cred? Try under the bridge that spans the railroad tracks at Kingshighway and Bischoff Avenue in south city, where a group of skateboarders has been building a DIY skate park for the past year or so. The park's free and open to the public and includes a half pipe, ramps and other obstacles. It also has the blessing of city officials, who credit the skaters with cleaning up a former dumping ground.
