Kirkwood Park
The Kirkwood Park tennis courts have something for players of every level, from novice to expert. The park is home to ten well-maintained courts, two of which are entirely enclosed by high fences — perfect both for newcomers whose sloppy serves might otherwise interfere with another game and for serious athletes who want to avoid such interruptions in game play. (There are eight more open courts just a few yards away.) Best of all, Kirkwood Park is one of the few places where you can keep playing into the nighttime hours, without the aid of a glow-in-the-dark tennis ball. The courts are brightly lit, and the lights stay on relatively late; you can keep serving, sweating and "love"-ing all night long — or, at least, until 11 p.m.
