Lubeley's probably gets the most attention for its cakes, both the elegant, towering wedding kind and the shorter, imaginatively frosted birthday kind. But this family-owned gem, now well into its seventh decade of operation, is also a reliable source for quick-fix treats: cookies, doughnuts, brownies and a wonderful little breakfast pastry with a graham cracker-crumb crust and a delectable filling of fruit or cheese. Lubeley's also has a charming café (if you just can't wait till you get home and have too much dignity to stuff your face while sitting in your car in the parking lot).
