Beale on Broadway
A home base for many of the city's best blues players, Beale on Broadway is the sort of place where you don't have to check the schedule before you go. The venue's de facto slogan is "Live Blues Seven Nights a Week," and that's usually what you get, whether it's the twice-weekly residency of local legend Kim Massie or visiting talent from such places as Chicago, Austin and (naturally) Memphis. With warm lighting, hardwood floors and a spacious back patio, it's easy to feel like you're drifting south down the Mississippi, no matter who's playing.
