With her baby-doll eyes and revealing outfits, Katy Perry is a pretty sexy act to top. Dancing to Perry's "Firework," though, Mimi Le Yu blows the pop tart out of the water. Grab a table at Al Waha Restaurant and Hookah Lounge (3191 South Grand Boulevard; 314-664-3940) on a Saturday night, and you'll get a little burlesque with your water pipe and cocktail. And Mimi doesn't disappoint. Twirling to the music, she pulls off her colorful duds until she's down to her pasties. Not long ago she pulled together the Randy Dandies, a sketch-driven troupe of comedians, burlesque performers and entertainers shimmying across town at venues such as Atomic Cowboy, Fountain on Locust and Off Broadway. Wherever you catch Mimi, if you see fireworks after one of her performances, rest assured it's no coincidence.
