It's not easy to find Bloomin' Buckets. The flower shop gives its address as Manchester Road in Rock Hill, but it's really on a side street, Tavalon Avenue, obscured by a wooden fence. Push open that gate, though, and you're in for a treat. A rose garden gives way to a cute-as-can-be pink cottage where you can find owner Barb Wehking apologizing profusely. "I know, I know. We're hard to find," she says. "Thankfully most of our business comes by word of mouth and not walk-ins." Bloomin' Buckets earns its reputation with its arrangements, which include big glass vases and showstopping bouquets for weddings and other special events. But it's also good for Valentine's Day or anytime you're in quick need of a floral gift to go. "We go to the flower market every day, so there's always something fresh and different," Wehking says. "Stop on by."
