This is a nice dogleg, par five on one of the region's best public courses. If you can cut the corner on the drive, you have a shot at the green in two. But if you hit the dreaded "straight ball," chances are you'll be out of bounds. Hook it off the tee, and you're sunning yourself on the beach. The second shot is a 200-yardish clip uphill to a narrow green with multiple tiers that fishbowl off the sides, funneling shots left or right. The undulating green provides difficulty, which helps protect the hole from being an easy birdie. Drain it in four or shoot a double bogey; either way, this hole is a great way to close out the front nine. Reward yourself at the clubhouse with a brat and another six-pack for the back nine, and then hit the trails again.
