Danno's American Pub
You can learn a lot about the history of the relatively young Danno's American Pub just by looking at the bar's exterior. An iconic Route 66 sign hangs from the entrance, serving as a reminder that the Cruisin' Route 66 was once located here. A neon green cocktail glass hearkens back to when the spot was known as George's Visions. But though Danno's knows its history, it hasn't fallen stagnant. Danno's twentysomething bartender Chris Muether is a third-generation drink-slinger, and he's brought his personality to bear on the joint. The beer list is long on craft brews, while Muether's cocktail-mixing expertise skews toward the classics, making Danno's a sophisticated drinker's paradise. But since the bar is located on the outskirts, it's still unassuming, unpretentious and welcoming of all comers.
