Everyone gets the pre-date jitters. Will he be as nice in person as he is online? Is she really perfect for you, or is your matchmaking friend just tired of you showing up to parties solo? There's the agonizing indecision over what to wear, where to eat, what to say. Any first date can benefit from a conversation-starter — something along the lines of "Look at those giant rabbits!" Fortunately, at Citygarden, exclaiming over enormous bunnies will not make you sound delusional, thanks to Tom Claassen's Untitled (Two Rabbits). A true gem right in the middle of downtown, Citygarden is a sculpture-filled urban paradise. It's impossible not to have a good time when strolling through this lovely space, admiring works by such modern masters as Keith Haring, Mark di Suvero and Mimmo Paladino. Show off your knack for spontaneous whimsy by running through the fountains (it's totally allowed), and display your good taste by completing the date with a meal at Terrace View, the on-site restaurant owned by St. Louis super-chef Jim Fiala. This is one first date that's sure to lead to a second.
