So Mom's not the only one who might like the wares at this spacious, sweet-smelling store: There are earrings that would work for your sister, tunics that would look great on Grandma and nubby coverlets that would make your cat purr with contentment. But Soft Surroundings is most certainly a store for a woman who wants a little pampering. You won't find a spike heel in the place; you will find plenty of soft, lovely things that practically exude bliss. This growing chain is now at three stores and counting, with a shop in the Chicago suburbs, another outside Hartford, Connecticut, and locations slated for Denver and Dallas in addition to the flagship shop at the Boulevard, just across from the Saint Louis Galleria. While you can also shop from a full catalog online, we wouldn't advise it: Just stepping into the store will make you breathe more deeply.
