A German beer garden-turned-Mexican restaurant, El Leñador has earned a reputation among those in the know as the new Cherokee hot spot. As you walk in you can find a cozy bar to the right, with a spacious hall to your left. Dimly lit with a dance floor and an assortment of tables, it feels like a bingo hall mixed with a '70s basement den. The homey décor and the friendliness of the staff will have you feeling right at home. Wednesday evening $1 Stag Nights pack them in, and there's live music weekly, with a wide variety of live acts ranging from traditional country to hip-hop to hardcore punk. Still relatively under the radar, El Leñador is doing its part to fuel Cherokee Street's ever-growing popularity.
