Looking for a great belay? You can find that and maybe a little more at Climb So iLL, the trendy new climbing gym just off of Lafayette Square. Founded in March by brothers and long-time climbers David and Daniel Chancellor, and their friend Ian Anderson, this unique climbing gym boasts more than 10,000 vertical feet of climbing terrain, custom climbing holds and five auto-belays — for when you are flyin' solo. Climb So iLL is also one of the few places in this city that brings together legions of young, hot guys with great arms, tight shorts and Peter Parker-like reflexes. Earn serious street cred by offering to belay one of them. Gaze lecherously as this man — and what is surely one fine ass — ascends to heights of 55 feet, dangling in the air at your mercy. Or ask for some tips on your technique at the bouldering wall. Climbing is fundamentally a social activity — one that requires two people to build trust and help each other accomplish feats that cannot be accomplished alone.
