Antenna TV (Channel 2.2)

The digital TV transition of 2009 was a tremendous pain in the ass for the analog set. Finally, though, after three years fiddling with our rabbit ears and making more trips to Radio Shack than we care to admit, we're reaping the rewards we were promised. Digital TV is the poor man's cable, offering a breadth of choices never before available for over-the-air viewers. And no one offers St. Louis' couch potatoes more than Local TV LLC, owner of KTVI-TV (Channel 2) and KPLR-TV (Channel 11). KPLR's 11.2, known as This TV, is sort of like an HBO of B-movies — films so gloriously awful you can't stop watching. But it's KTVI's Antenna TV (2.2) that we find ourselves clicking to day after day for its great lineup of classic dramas and sitcoms — Dragnet, Three's Company, All in the Family, Leave It to Beaver, Too Close for Comfort, Sanford and Son, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, WKRP in Cincinnati, Benny Hill. Freaking Benny Hill!! You know, all the great shows from the glory days — of analog.
