Map & Details>>

Some people will tell you the 1904 World's Fair was the last great thing to happen to St. Louis. But it was the profits from that international expo that built the World's Fair Pavilion — in 1909. Perched high atop Government Hill, the World's Fair Pavilion offers a bird's-eye view of the northern half of Forest Park. But it's at sunset when this view is truly amazing. Gaze out west as that violet hour sweeps over the park's urban canopy and washes Post-Dispatch Lake in a palate of golds and pinks. It's then that you realize that if you know where to look, something great happens in St. Louis damn near every day.
