On Tuesday, March 13, Remy's Kitchen & Wine Bar (222 South Bemiston Avenue, Clayton; 314-726-5757) will pair a three-course dinner with wine from the Charles Krug Winery. Peter Mondavi Jr., co-proprietor of Charles Krug and son of legendary Napa Valley winemaker Peter Mondavi Sr., will attend. Courses include a gratin of sea scallops with sauvignon blanc, peppercorn-encrusted tuna with merlot and zinfandel-braised short ribs with, well, zinfandel. Price is $42 per person (tax and tip not included); reservations are required.
Finally, Slow Food St. Louis will host a food-trivia night at Mad Art Gallery (2727 South 12th Street) on Sunday, March 25, from 4 till 8 p.m. Tables of 8-10 cost $250, which includes beer, wine and soft drinks.
