A sneak peek at a couple of restaurants due to open soon.

First up is Agave at 4198 Manchester Avenue in Forest Park Southeast's the Grove. Agave will feature higher-end Mexican cuisine and a wide range of tequilas. Coby Arzola -- of Chuy Arzola's Arzolas -- is behind the venture.

The grand opening was originally scheduled for next week, but delays have pushed that back. Brown paper covered the windows when I stopped by this morning so I couldn't see how far along work has progressed. I'll let you know the new opening date as soon as I learn it.

Speaking of Mexican restaurants: I stopped by Mi Ranchito (887 Kingsland Avenue) for lunch yesterday and learned that the popular U. City spot is expanding to the storefront next-door. It didn't look like work had started in earnest, though.

Picture to the right is Lush at 3037 Olive Street. Lush will be both a nightclub and restaurant. (Something like Dolce', I imagine.)

Work seems to be progressing well. More details as I learn them.
