In World Cup-frenzied South Africa, nutrition researchers are concerned about the amount of junk food advertising during FIFA games. The Tabelo Times quotes the World Cancer Research Fund: "It is disappointing that these companies have been chosen as sponsors and partners."

Can't get enough Food Network? Now you can spend time with two of their chefs on the high seas. USA Today reports that Cat Cora and Aaron Sanchez will host cooking demos on a Celebrity Cruises jaunt through the eastern Caribbean in late August.

The growing lack of local seafood is forcing New Orleans' chefs to get creative. The New Orleans Time-Picayune details chefs efforts to skim old recipe files for non-seafood recipes, finding acceptable substitutes from elsewhere, and paying the premium for what little fish is coming from the Gulf.
