Romeo's Pizza, a Medina, Ohio-based chain of restaurants, plans a major expansion to St. Louis, the company announced in a press release yesterday. Romeo's Pizza opened in 2001 and now has 31 locations throughout Ohio. The franchise agreement that the company reached with Nawi Development Corporation calls for 90 locations to open in the St. Louis "territory."
"We start with the absolute freshest ingredients," marketing director Anne Thompson tells Gut Check. "Our founder and CEO Sean Brauser has built the company on quality.
"You pay a little bit more for it, but we think it's worth it."
The menu includes a long list of specialty pizzas, including the "Great Ranch & Potato Pizza," which features a housemade bacon-ranch sauce as well as sausage, onion, almonds and red potatoes. The Romeo's Pizza website touts multiple awards won at competitions in the United States and abroad.
Thompson can't yet provide a timetable of when Romeo's Pizza will arrive in St. Louis. If you'd like a sneak preview of what to expect on your TV, if not in the actual restaurant, check out this commercial:
