Apple season hits its peak this month. At Pomme Restaurant (40 North Central Avenue, Clayton; 314-727-4141), which gets its name from the French word for apple, the tradition of local and seasonal food doesn't fall far from the tree. To celebrate the mark of a decade in business, Pomme is partnering with Operation Food Search. From Wednesday, October 24, through Saturday, October 27, 10 percent of food sales will go to support the organization's mission to alleviate hunger.
The upscale dinner-service restaurant opened in 2002, replacing Ed Neal's Cafe Provencal in Clayton. Husband-and-wife duo Bryan and Diane Carr co-own Pomme Restaurant, Pomme Cafe and Wine Bar and Atlas Restaurant.
"The evolution of Pomme has been to remain in touch with the traditions which guide us as we grow with the times," says executive chef Bryan Carr. "We most look forward to thanking our loyal guests, welcoming new ones and helping Operation Food Search as we celebrate our anniversary."
