Friday (Nov. 30):

Tenth Life Sips and Sweets @ Regional Arts Commission Sample sweets, wine and cocktails over live music, a silent auction, art and most importantly, kittens! Desserts come from Hartford Coffee Company, I Scream Cakes, Kakao, Pint Size Bakery and more. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased via Brown Paper Tickets. 7 to 10 p.m.

Kimmswick Cookie Walk @ participating Kimmswick shops Go for an old-fashioned cookie walk to collect treats from local merchants. Tickets cost $20 and include a recipe book. Call 636-464-6464 for more information. Friday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday (Dec. 1):

Annual Breakfast with Santa @ Red Robin - Des Peres This family-friendly event includes a breakfast of donuts, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon and more with a visit from Santa and his elves. Kids can look forward to a holiday goodie bag, crafts, face painting and a coloring contest, and adults can try their luck at raffle prizes. $10 per person. Tales of a Lobster @ Kitchen Conservatory Chef Bernard Pilon of the Norwood Hills Country Club instructs participants on how to prepare lobster bisque, Grand Marnier lobster with orange sauce, lobster poached in tarragon and more. The hands-on class costs $75 per person. Register online via the Kitchen Conservatory website. 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Wintermarkt Outdoor Arts & Crafts Festival @ Greg Freeman Park Enjoy hot cider, roasted chestnuts and baked goods while shopping this traditional German themed market. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Whiskey in the Winter @ Hyatt Regency Hotel Select from 175 whiskies from all over the globe including single malt and blended Scotch, bourbon, Missouri whiskeys and more along with whiskey-inspired food stations, seminars and cocktail bars. General admission tickets cost $80. 6 to 9 p.m.

Sunday (Dec. 2):

Hanukkah Tasting @ Whole Foods - Town and Country Sample Hanukkah favorites such as potato latkes and spinach feta cakes in the prepared foods department. Free. Noon to 3 p.m.

All-Day Cheesemaking Class @ private location in Brentwood, MO Learn how to make blue cheese, feta, mozzerella and ricotta during Merryl Winstein's intensive all-day course. $145 per person. Register online on the Cheesemaking Class website. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Supper with Santa @ Butterfly House Enjoy eats from The Old Spaghetti Factory along with a photo with Santa, a butterfly hunt night walk, face painting, ornament making, and cookies with hot chocolate. Admission costs $15 per adult and $18 for children. Register online via the Missouri Botanical Garden website. 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Paint, Drink and Be Merry with Vino Van Gogh @ Mosaic Take a painting class over refreshments. 5 to 7 p.m.
