Gut Check loves watching the Super Bowl, but almost more than that, we love watching the food and drink commercials that air during the Super Bowl.
In 2006, Frito-Lay pioneered online crowdsourcing to promote its Doritos brand during the Super Bowl. Seven years later that very successful and very profitable move, its "Crash the Super Bowl" campaign is still going strong.
This year's crop of five finalists range from "fashionista daddy" to "goat 4 sale," with the poll still open. The winner of the contest will be announced during Super Bowl XLVII, when its commercial will air during one of the most-watched events of the year.
