Geez. I leave town for a few days, and everything at Gut Check International Headquarters goes bonkers. Specifically, Gut Check might have given you a malware warning when you visited late last week. If so, 1) our sincere apologies; 2) you missed some good stories, including the news that Piccione Pastry (6197 Delmar Boulevard; 314-932-1355), from the folks behind the catering and restaurant firm Butler's Pantry, is now open on the eastern half of the Delmar Loop.

"What we try to do is recreate an Old World pastry shop in a modern way," Butler's Pantry president Richard L. Nix Jr. told my colleague Mabel Suen as part of Gut Check's First Look at Piccione Pastry.
Piccione is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday. View the menu at the Piccione website.
Also now open is Prasino (1520 South Fifth Street, St. Charles; 636-277-0202), the first St. Louis-area location of a small, upscale Chicago-based chain. Prasino describes itself on its Facebook page (and elsewhere) as a "sophisticated, sustainably-minded, eco-friendly restaurant." The menu of the Chicago location (link PDF) reveals a selection of contemporary American bistro dishes, sandwiches and flatbreads as well as sushi.
Gut Check will have a more in-depth First Look at Prasino later this week. In the meantime, the restaurant is open 11 a.m.-midnight Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
