OK, so last week's weather appears to have been a fake-out. It's not quite spring just yet, but as we sat down at Bixby's (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue; 314-361-7313) to try the new lunch menu, we were definitely in the spirit.

Bixby's, the restaurant at the Missouri History Museum is more known for its brunch, the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Forest Park (you can even see the Art Museum) make for a quiet, elegant lunch away from the office. The early spring menu debuted Friday, February 21.

The menu is limited and light, but we found plenty of things to choose from. Entrees include sliced tenderloin tartine, with creamed spinach, horseradish and cippolini onions, and herb-encrusted trout with celeriac puree on a bed of roasted asparagus and carrots with preserved lemon gremolata.

Bixby's new menu is available at lunch Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can check out the full menu here.
