612 Kitchen & Cocktails Now Open in Kirkwood

612 Kitchen & Cocktails (612 West Woodbine, Kirkwood; 314-965-2003) is now open in Kirkwood in the former Graham's Grill space. After the beloved Cajun restaurant closed in December, owner Dan Graham's kids Devin and Alison began transforming the place into a 1920s-inspired speakeasy.

After hosting a soft opening for friends and family, 612 Kitchen opened July 17. Features include happy hour Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., which gets you $1 off all draft beer and wells. Wine is 25 percent off on Wednesday nights. On Thursday's its $5 sangria and $5 off pitchers of sangria. And starting August 10, Sunday brunch will feature bottomless mimosas.

"The theme is basically geared around a lot more handcrafted cocktails," Devin Graham told us earlier this month. "It's going to be something new to St. Louis." Todd Brutcher (a.k.a. the sangria master from Onesto) and Sarah Jones are heading up the bar program, with Graham's Grill's Brian Gabelsberger in the kitchen.

The menu is mostly shared plates, like toasted ravioli, gourmet tacos and pulled pork nachos, but there are some larger entrees as well. The handcrafted cocktails include the "Signature 16," made with Beefeater gin, grapefruit juice and agave nectar garnished with sliced jalapeños, and the "Coco Chanel," which brings strawberry vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice and pink Champagne garnished with strawberries and mint. 612 Kitchen & Cocktails is open Wednesday through Thursday from 4 to 11 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It's closed Monday and Tuesday.
