Yet another Vietnamese restaurant on South Grand? Yes, thank you very much. Four Seasons offers a huge selection of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. The usual suspects are present, from noodle soups and vermicelli dishes to clay pots and beef, pork and chicken. But don’t neglect to expand your culinary boundaries with deep-fried whole tilapia smothered in a fragrant, vinegary sauce infused with tamarind pulp and full of garlic, green onions and whole chilies; or luscious steamed quail that’s been marinated in coconut juice. Not to be missed is the house special beef pho, a rich stock cooked all day with beef bones and herbs, into which slices of rare and well-done beef, beef tendon, tripe and clear noodles are tossed and simmered: a bowl of steaming heaven.
