The latest effort from the fertile mind of Mike Johnson (Boogaloo, El Scorcho) offers mainstream takes on dishes from China, Japan, Korea and Thailand. Most offerings lean toward the appetizer end; your best bet is to build a meal out of two or three dishes apiece. The Korean barbecue pork ribs are delicious, savory, a little sweet and a lot spicy. Other standouts include “Asian” guacamole (better than many traditional versions), asparagus tempura and potstickers stuffed with shiitake mushrooms and leeks and stuffed with a three-chili dipping sauce. The cocktail list features several sake-laced doozies.
