Liluma

238 North Euclid Ave.
St. Louis, MO 63108
314-361-7771
Website
The middle child of Jim Fiala’s three area restaurants, Liluma might not be as exciting or inventive as the Crossing or Acero, but its straightforward bistro fare is quite satisfying. Look for the starters and entrées marked as chef Tim Zenner’s favorites – the fried okra is a special treat – and listen closely when the server recites the daily special. (Skate wing, if available, is to die for.) Many of the pasta dishes are similar to Acero’s amazing pastas. These are available in appetizer or entrée portions, though even the appetizer portion is generous. Whatever you eat, Liluma’s spot in the heart of the Central West End affords some of the city’s best people-watching while you dine.
