Tavolo V is the fifth (hence the roman numeral) restaurant in Michael Del Pietroâ€™s stable. The menu closely follows the template of his original spot, Sugoâ€™s Spaghetteria, in its concentration on affordable and generously portioned pasta dishes (giant meatballs; a huge serving of lasagna) and Neapolitan-ish pizza. Tavolo V pays special attention to vegetables, offering numerous appetizers, some fried, some grilled, some raw. The â€śFunghiâ€ť pasta dish â€” made with shiitake and crimini mushrooms, garlic (raw and roasted alike) and spinach and a splash of truffle oil â€” is so meaty you wonâ€™t miss the meat.
