A popular spot for Wash. U. students with little cash but lotsa gastronomic adventurousness, Thai Pizza Co. provides some clever twists on the fare you find at the the joint's three sister Loop restaurants. The pies -- available with a thick, doughy crust or a matzo-like thin one -- come topped with chicken satay, hoisin, peanut sauce, green onions and assorted other staples from the motherland. Additional offerings include noodle bowls (some with curious ingredients like barbecued ribs), traditional pad Thai, and not-so-traditional spring rolls, big and thick. The décor is a departure from standard St. Louis Thai, with brighter colors and a more welcoming vibe. A good pick for a quick bite at a low price.
