Despite metal detectors, McCallum somehow slipped into the bar with the gun, proving Garrett's Pink Slip staff failed to properly maintain the metal detectors and failed to properly operate the metal detectors, according to the complaint.Blanchard is asking for $150,000 in damages -- which is more than enough to make it rain all night long.
Because of the incident, Blanchard sustained injuries; suffered pain, permanent disability and loss of a normal life; and incurred medical costs, the suit states. In addition, he lost wages, the complaint says.
He blames Garrett's Pink Slip and its owners for negligently failing to train the metal detector operators, for failing to properly supervise the operators, for failing to provide proper security, for permitting patrons to enter the premises with a gun and for allowing patrons to drink intoxicating beverages while carrying a gun.
