In what has swiftly become a familiar refrain this summer, two more people have died because of the non-stop heat. The deceased are:

Franklin Trumperter, 89, of Ballwin. His body was discovered Tuesday. He had central air, but authorities believe now it wasn't working and that Trumperter had turned it off.

Otha Bowman, 62, a homeless man who was also found Tuesday in an abandoned building in East St. Louis.

The St. Louis region remains under a heat advisory through Thursday evening. Temperatures will cool off ever-so-slightly this weekend, but it temperatures will top 100 degrees again beginning on Monday.
