Here's your weekly St. Louis bestseller list for the week ending July 22, as compiled by the St. Louis Independent Booksellers Alliance and based on sales at Left Bank Books, Main Street Books, Pudd'nhead Books and Subterranean Books.
When we last wrote about Cheryl Strayed, the author was about to visit St. Louis to read from her memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. Since then, Wild was chosen by Oprah to kick off the latest iteration of Oprah's Book Club and Strayed has released another book, Tiny Beautiful Things, a collection of her advice columns for the online magazine The Rumpus, which she writes under the nom de guerre Sugar. This week, Wild is back on the local bestseller list. C'mon, sweet peas, you'd better start reading. Oprah's almost done!
Over on the kids' list, The Last Guardian, the eighth and final installment of Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl series about the adventures of the eponymous teenage criminal mastermind, currently reigns as number one.
