Independence Day will be a little bit different in St. Louis this year, with construction on the Gateway Arch pushing the annual Fair St. Louis into Forest Park. The change in venue hasn't dampened the three-day patriotic extravaganza: The famed VP parade starts at the Muny at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Bonnie Raitt and the Fray are performing, and fireworks will go off each night at 10 p.m.

To prepare for the parking nightmare that's sure to come, fair organizers have set up shuttles, a cab stand and a bike valet, all while encouraging St. Louisans to opt for the MetroLink as the easiest way to get into the festival.

But if you're looking for a fireworks display that doesn't come with it's own transportation manual, Daily RFT found a few options outside of town.

Here are nine festivals with Fourth of July fireworks this weekend:

JB Blast Head to south county for the JB Blast at Jefferson Barracks. The U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America plays at 7 p.m., and fireworks start at 9 p.m.

Alton Fireworks Over the Mississippi Alton is stepping up this year to offer fireworks over the Mississippi River on July 3. The fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. with Clark Bridge as the backdrop. You'll pay to get into the concert at Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater, but watching fireworks is free.

Riverfest 2014 If you still want to see fireworks over the river, St. Charles is hosting Riverfest on the banks of the Missouri in Frontier Park this weekend. Fireworks start at 9:20 p.m. July 4 and 5.

2014 Webster Groves Community Days Fourth of July Celebration Parking will probably be tough at this county celebration, too, but the walk is worth it. Enjoy the fireworks in this leafy suburb at 9:30 p.m. July 4 and 5 in Webster Groves Memorial Park.

O'Fallon Heritage and Freedom Fest Take the kids to the carnival and midway at O'Fallon's Fourth of July celebration. Fireworks go off at 9:30 p.m. July 4.

City of Chesterfield's 9th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration Vote for Pedro performs at this event at Chesterfield Mall this weekend. When the kids are done playing in the inflatables and watching the stilt walkers, catch the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. July 4.

Coca-Cola® July 4th Fest Six Flags will shoot off fireworks Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, so head to the plaza in front of BATMAN the Ride for the best view. If you bring an unopened Coca-Cola product, you early-birds can get in an hour before the park opens, at 9:30 a.m.

Ritenour Community Fireworks Complete Music DJ spins from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m., and fireworks start at 9:20 p.m. at Ritenour High School on St. Charles Rock Road.

Bridgeton Fireworks Display Celebrate Independence Day with clowns, music, food and fireworks at dusk.
