This just in from the St. Louis police department. Thieves attempting to victimize an off-duty St. Louis police officer last night became victims themselves in a robbery-turned-shooting. The event occurred around 6:30 p.m. Thursday just after the cop cashed his paycheck at the Currency Exchange at 900 N. Grand Avenue. The 48-year-old officer was not in uniform as he walked to his car and was approached by two teenagers who flashed a gun and announced a holdup.View Larger Map

The bait homes would work somewhat similarly. Police would rent out homes and outfit them with "bait" such as flat-panel televisions, high-end stereos, computers, etc. The cops would also install video mo
It wasn't a good night for a group of teens out joyriding in a stolen car. Police say they observed a vehicle near Enright and Grand around midnight today that had been reported stolen in a carjacking in St. Louis County. The cops attempted to pull over the car, but the driver refused to stop. The fleeing vehicle made it all the way north of Fairgrounds Park (more than two miles away from where it was initially spotted) before police could stop the car using spike strips. View Larger MapAf
