Sheesh, as if having the Ting-Tings in town on April 3 isn't enough, two other cool shows have just been announced for the same date. Earlier this week, the Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center announced that Megafaun (a folkish group with ties to Bon Iver -- the band members played with Justin Vernon in the group DeYarmond Edison) and perfect-popsters the Rosebuds would be sharing a bill on the Friday night. The members of Megafaun have better beards than you. That's just a fact of life, something to accept that's as true and solid as death and taxes. But the hirstute band doesn't let its facial hair get in the way of fantastic musicianship. Since forming after the split of DeYarmond Edison (the band that a dude named Justin Vernon, a.k.a. Bon Iver just so happened to be in), Megafaun has grown into a fantastic askew-folk/country/indie/experimental act. (Labels are difficult.) Take a listen below, a
