With the new exhibit Beyond XY: Four Photographers Explore the Masculine Continuum, the phd Gallery (2300 Cherokee Street) takes a close, celebratory look at gender identity and "maleness." The show, which coincides with PrideFest 2010, opens with a free public reception from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. Gallery owner Philip Hitchcock showcases the work of four phenomenal photographers: San Francisco's Loren Cameron, Calgary's Joshua McVeity, New York's Trix Rosen and Miami's David Vance.
