Ben & Jerry's annual Free Cone Day, on April 3, 2012 has some area locations slinging free scoops of ice cream from Noon to 8 p.m. Free Cone Day is in fact free, but Ben & Jerry's has a jar for patrons to donate a what they can to benefit the St. Louis Crisis Nursery. Two of the shops are participating in Free Cone Day: Ben & Jerry's U. City (6380 Delmar Boulevard; 314-721-8887) and Ben & Jerry's Galleria (1155 St. Louis Galleria; 314-727-7128).
