Maybe you should put less attention on this situation. It seems there are more reporters than protesters in Ferguson right now
On Saturday, August 9, eighteen-year-old Michael Brown was walking with a friend on the 2900 block of Canfield Drive in Ferguson, Missouri, when the two came across a Ferguson police officer. What happened next is unclear, but after a series of gunshots, Michael Brown was lying face down in the street in a pool of blood. He was dead, shot repeatedly by the officer, a six-year veteran. Brown was unarmed, and many witnesses say he had his hands raised in the air at the time he was shot.
In the more than a week following the shooting, there have been outpourings of support, sorrow, and anger from celebrities and community members alike. Many have taken to the streets of Ferguson to protest. What began as a peaceful demonstration turned violent, and the protests turned into riots. Now others have been shot in separate incidents, and the tension surrounding Brown's death continues to permeate St. Louis and the country.
Maybe you should put less attention on this situation. It seems there are more reporters than protesters in Ferguson right now
Tony that is without a doubt the most gracios speech, I`ve ever been privleged to read. The true king of FB today! Are you sure you innspirational friend, has`nt eaten your brain cuz you sound like my favorite kind of nut! Lol
I, too, am inspired, and proud to be a part of your satirical coattails! Hats off to you, sir, for today, at this moment, you are the Internet King.
So my question to the media is this? When this officer is cleared is the media going to admit their mistake in rushing to judgement and convicting this officer both prematurely and completely without any FACTS! You have taken hearsay witness statements as reason enough to run an extremely racially biased headline grabbing story, tearing apart a community and creating the worst violence in st.Louis' history. You've acted irresponsibly and recklessly since day one. The media and those witnesses, that will be proven to have lied, are culpable in the inciting of a riot, causing injuries, attacks on police officers, and the destruction of an American city causing billions of dollars spent and revenues lost. Are you going to retract all of your LIES and apologize for your part in an American tragedy? Probably not, you'll slither on like the parasites you are and pour your bleeding hearts all over some other trumped up, headline grabbing 'cause', likely creating more turmoil for some other city. SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tony I was so close to giving up on my dreams, but after reading this you've inspired me. I now know that all I have to do is believe and it's possible. #Thankful #Hopeful
Tony I just want you to know that I knew you could do it! When so many others lost their faith in you I still just had this FEELING that you would persevere and SUCCEED! god is indeed in your corner... congratulations.
Putting cameras on every cop across the nation is the only solution to police brutality, this way people will feel safe, corrupt cops will have to stop being corrupt and criminals will also stop assaulting officers. Time to get it right USA for our children's sake and our country's sake
National guard , organized attacks other communities looted, schools closed ...police had to respond at 830 due to people getting hurt looting and attacks and Molotov cocktails
Ferguson residents will be the ones suffering when this is over. The protesters will go home and Ferguson will be in ruins.
I truly do feel bad for the parents of Michael Brown. However, I have no sympathy for people that get tear-gassed that have a home to go to.
I feel so honored to be the first comment. All of my hard work and dedication has paid off. Getting the top comment has been a dream of mine for many years, and i would like to thank those who have helped me along the way. First and foremost i would like to thank god for giving me this opportunity. Next i would like to thank my parents. I want to thank my friend Josh Arcaro, for being really skinny and always there for me. I would also like to thank my pet tadpole for surviving against all odds for over a week. Next i would like to thank the squirrel that lives in my backyard for climbing trees because that gives me inspiration that i need to get through the day. This is a special moment in my life and i would like to thank any of my unmentioned friends and family that have helped me along the way. This moment will be a moment that i will never forget. I just remembered a few other people i would like to thank; facebook, the fish i caught in the third grade, my light in my room bc i wouldn’t be able to see the keyboard without it, the internet for letting me go on facebook, my house because without it i would be homeless, and last but not least i would like to thank all the people out there that actually took time out of their day to read this. I cannot stress how much of a big deal to me this is. I have been trying to be the first comment on a post for years, but that has not been possible until this amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare occasion. If you asked me how i did this, i would say, you can achieve anything u set your mind on. To all the kids out there reading this, i would like to tell them to follow their dreams. Being the top comment is amazing, thank you everyone
Keep tearing up our already fucked up city you mufuckas dont pay for shit no way....thats why you don't respect it.
Nixon Ferguson Missouri Press Conference Out of Control; Where Is President Obama? Is President Obama -- who was inarguably elected in part because of his perceived place in American History as a racial unifier -- the only person who has any hope of taking a terrible situation and turning it into something possibly positive as opposed to what currently has the very scary echoes of George Wallace at the school house in 1963?http://newwentzvillian.blogspot.com/2014/08/nixon-ferguson-missouri-press.html?spref=tw
Use of force in the commission of a theft is 2nd Degree Robbery in Missouri. Commonly known as a strong arm robbery. http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/c500-599/5690000030.htm
Peace? You call what happened last night peace? It was the worst night of looting since this whole thing started!
We still don't know what really happened at the police car, but looking at the video 10 minutes earlier we found out he was no choir boy as we was first led to believe. He was a thug
this is a conspiracy of african-american people to get sympathy .Michael brown was violent thief, robbed store (was stealing something )mike was a goon and used to bully childrens & steal from them and use to sexually abuse boys. MIKE was going to shoot the cop so in self defence shooted MIKE- r african s shoul free to do all crimes - african s shoul stop using race card & to be a race baiter like oprah winfrey. These protest r excuse to loot shops & get things free
Thank you RFT for endeavoring to report on and provide a forum for all opinions and input as we move to the justice everybody wants.
I have 2 children... I would beat their asses if they participated in anything like this. Just disgusting.
it's a license for free shit actually working for what you have is too difficult a concept to grasp for these idiots
if you were a cop and someone was going for your gun you have to put him down where is the video proof he was innocently sucking a lollipop in the street when this officer "slaughtered" him in cold blood? exactly
2 sides to every story. A individual could be brought down not killed with a leg shot OR a tazer NOT multiple shots..Adrenaline or not a cop is to suppose to be able to be the better man in rush situations. The situation could have been handled differently.
Write a comment... Michelle Menke THE TRUTH as told by Darren, the TRUE victim. Darren is a good man and he shot and killed Michael in self defense. When he tried to get out of his car, Michael and his friend slammed the car door back closed with their bodies. Upon attempting to exit his vehicle, he was bum rushed by Michael Brown back into his front seat of his car, punched in his face a few times and then had to fight Michael over posession of his gun. During the struggle, his gun went off and then the 280 pound, 6'3" "child" took off with his friend. When the officer got out of his car and drew his gun and yelled freeze you're under arrest, Michael turned, taunting him, yelling from about 35 feet away, "what, you gonna shoot me?" and then abruptly charged the officer again. The officer unloaded on the huge YOUNG adult as he continued storming towards him until finally, he was able to stop him by shooting him in the head right when he was almost to him and his weapon. Imagine the adrenaline pumping after almost being shot in his police car and then this same large guy is sprinting at you. He thought that Michael must have been on something the way he just kept coming despite being shot many times. Hopefully, toxicology will confirm this suspicion. These are the facts-but if nothing else I beg that you at least consider these as the other side of the story. I've heard several witnesses that must keep quiet in case they are needed in court have confirmed this story and had the SAME version of events. All other "witnesses" stories have all been inconsistent with one another, some claiming he was down on his knees, others that he was running away. The truth above is the only consistent story there has been because of course, there can be only one version of the truth. I believe in my heart for it to be factually true because I know someone very well who was there. Please spread the truth. I am begging you to at least put this out as a possibility since we have ONLY heard the other's side. It explains all of the questions and it's what I was told on Sunday morning, before everyone was silenced. Please pray for Darren who was only doing his job and trying to stay alive. Or at least, please consider this as a possibility...even just a theory. I'm telling you, eventually it will all come out. This is the truth.
I can't believe Army / Marines haven't been brought in, placed on every block, and one good, solid order given: "Anyone caught damaging or defacing another individual's property will be shot on sight." Then do it. Every time. About 3 people will fall before the rest of the fools get the message - but, I guarantee you that if you are consistent with a 100% rating, and you never back down, you will immediately gain control of the situation. Give an order. And stand by it. If you do what you say and say what you do 100% of the time, you will get amazing results. I've never seen such idiot fools that are so destroy their own city - and embarrass the Hell out of the rest of us.
Watch the video of the "kid". He's responsible for cops being called. He's responsible for his actions at the police vehicle. Don't rob a store and then knock the officer silly. There may be a negative reaction.
Wrong officers name, incorrect "facts" in your post and your interpretation of the law is not correct. This morning's report still has unanswered questions so let's not go back to righteousness, closed minded comments and fear mongering (on all sides).
By using "Armed" and "robbery" for a suspected SHOPLIFTING CHARGE, the police encourage us to imagine Michael Brown as armed and dangerous. (plagerized from @marclamonthill)
To answer your question:
President Obama's returned to the White House from his Martha's Vineyard vacation late Sunday night. The president is scheduled to have meetings at the White House on Monday and Tuesday, including Monday sessions devoted to the Iraq military operation and the unrest in Ferguson, Mo. On Monday afternoon, Attorney General Eric Holder will brief Obama on the investigation of the recent police shooting in Ferguson, Mo., that has sparked major protests.
Michael Brown was unarmed and had no criminal record. Get your facts straight: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Michael_Brown

The police shot an innocent man. Get your facts straight.
Unfortunately, anger is part of the 5 steps of grief. The whole community of Ferguson is experiencing anger at a system that uses races to justify murder. Their approach is not a productive solution but it's the reality of the situation.
Anger: Anger can be directed at anyone who you feel has blame in your loss. You might feel anger toward your family and friends, your loved one who has passed, or the doctors who were unable to save them. You may also be angry with yourself or the world. This anger is a manifestation of the pain of your loss; it can be understood as a measure of your love for the person.- See more at: http://www.sevenponds.com/after-death/the-stages-of-grief#sthash.1iHEcccH.dpu
No one believes your contrived true story. He should resign now and put in his application for food stamps. Or leave the country.
The whole world is watching...the Ferguson police department. THEY have embarrassed the U.S. As much as America thinks we are in post-racial times that has never existed and never will. Many other countries never "liked" us to begin with because of our capitalistic greed hidden by our altruistic attempts to "save" the world while people struggle right here at home.
