2009 Unreal News Challenge

Alas, we are about to bid farewell to 2009, henceforth known to St. Louisans as the Year George Clooney Came to Town. Yeah, some of Major League Baseball's finest showed up, too, and President Obama, but could any of them possibly compare to the silver-haired movie star who spread joy and happiness and created a frenzy wherever he went? We think not!

It is with great difficulty that we drag our minds away from fond memories of Clooney to all the other exciting things that happened in St. Louis this year. Yes, there were a few. Enough to generate the 100 questions that make up the annual Unreal News Challenge.

You know the drill. We wrote the questions. You get to sort through, separate the right from the wrong and fill out your answers, then transport it to Riverfront Times world headquarters. One lucky winner will receive a gift basket of crap culled from the RFT office, some of which actually appeared in the paper!

OFFICIAL RULES: There are no rules. Except one: If you win, you'll have to arrange to come to the RFT office in person to claim your prize. Um, make that two: Only one entry per household. Oh, and you have to supply a real name and phone number where we can reach you in the unlikely event that you win. If there's a tie, we'll come up with something. And, you know, void where prohibited and all that.

We'll publish the results just as soon as our hangover abates. And now, without further ado, let the Clooney reminiscences, er, quiz-taking, begin!
