A First Look at EdgeWild

EdgeWild Restaurant and Winery is like the Narnia of Chesterfield. Walk through the double doors and you're transported to a warmer world, filled with fine wine, chocolate covered mushrooms, fireplaces, oak tables and wooden-rafted ceilings. Read Ettie Berneking's take on EdgeWild's open house here.

Wine barrels like these can be found all over EdgeWild. There's a definite sense of Colorado here. DeeDee says she and her husband wanted to make sure there was plenty of wood, steel and iron in the remodel.

The dining area of the restaurant winds around to a back room where a small stage is set up for music. There's a second full-service bar along with a seating area and fire pit.

EdgeWild is stocked with two full-service bars. Both have plenty of Schlafly and other St. Louis craft breweries' products on hand.

Near the front entrance there's a wine tasting bar where guests can sample wines of their choice and snack on a variety of truffles. This is also where true wine fans can sign up for the wine club.

Guests enjoy the beautiful sunset Friday night. As they sipped their wine, the staff of EdgeWild guided trays of bite-sized snacks around the dining area.
