Act Out

Let's face it: Sending your kids off to camp for the summer is something you should have thought about awhile ago. Now, here you are, mid-July, with nothing for them to do and still a solid month before they go back to school. You want them to have fun, you want them to use their imaginations, and you want them to stop whining already! Fortunately, the Magic House offers some late-summer help via its Storybook Theater. At this attraction kids seven years old and up wear costumes, act in plays, help direct and even learn about lighting, and participation is free with Magic House admission ($8.50). The action happens at 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday (July 27 through August 7) in the Whitaker Theater at the Magic House (516 South Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood); call 314-822-8900 or visit www.magichouse.org to learn more.
Mondays-Fridays. Starts: July 27. Continues through Aug. 7, 2009
