Pity the cities that don't have MLB, NFL, NHL and NBA teams, or a bar like Friendly's — one that offers food and drink specials whenever any home team plays (thanks, Mizzou and Saint Louis University, for filling in that missing NBA slot for St. Louis). And it's true, the Rams might not be long for this city. But before LA offers us an In-N-Out Burger franchise in exchange for a football one (sold!), let us rejoice in the cheap gluttony that is Friendly's menu. It's a cash-only affair, but you won't need much of it: During game time, buckets of six domestic beers cost $10.50 to $12.50, and $1.80 nets a burger, hot dog, bratwurst patty or nachos. Even if our teams are playing on the coasts, the deals are still in effect as Friendly's kitchen is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day (the bar stays open till 1:30 a.m.). In the unlikely event that no localish team is taking to the field, court or ice, you can be the hot-shot all-star of foosball, air hockey, darts, bean bags, washers or any of the other games located inside or outside on its spacious patio. Best yet, you'll be within view of at least one of Friendly's 45 TV sets no matter where you're throwing down.
