The King & I has been recognized for its outstanding Thai food since it opened in 1980. Its traditional menu celebrates the aromatic and light cuisine from the many regions of Thailand. Fresh herbs and spices permeate each dish, delivering the characteristic tastes of sour, sweet, salty, bitter and spicy. Co-owner Suchin Prapaisilp (also the owner of Global Foods) is from Thailand, and has brought his love and passion for the food to St. Louis. The extensive menu features many Thai favorites and new creations such as potato and chicken ravioli, a spicy summer garden salad, and Thai fajitas with cashews and peppers. Spice reigns supreme here — most dishes are deliciously fiery.
