When Imagination Toys owner Marge Versprille was a kid, her favorite toys were stilts and Scrabble. With Bratz dolls and Angry Birds dominating the industry, things in Toyland have changed a little, but Imagination's take remains the same: Just because a toy store should be educational doesn't mean it has to be boring. The oldest specialty toy store in St. Louis will celebrate its 26th anniversary in September, and it still prides itself on offering the best products in the toy market and employing toy experts. You won't find any Bratz here: Popular toys include a stomp rocket that teaches children cause and effect after they jump on the launch pad and crafts that give kids a finished product to take pride in.
