Bewitching Music

Bad girls know how to have a good time. But Wicked girls -- they'll have their fun and serenade you while they're at it. Wicked Divas makes a stop at Powell Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard) on Sunday, March 25, at 3 p.m. The repertoire includes more than the popular Wicked songs we've all come to know and belt as loudly as possible when we think no one can hear us. Only a few favorites from the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical, based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, will be performed, including the chill-inducing "Defying Gravity." Elphaba (Julia Murney) and Glinda (Emily Rozek) also perform a range of tunes, from contemporary pop to other Broadway hits from Chicago, My Fair Lady and The Phantom of the Opera. Tickets are $35 to $65. For more information, call 314-534-1700 or visit www.stlsymphony.org.
