Big Chief Roadhouse

Travelers along Route 66 just west of St. Louis were able to spend a night in one of the longest and largest motels of the time, the Big Chief Highway Hotel, where hungry drivers could dine at one of the few full-service restaurants along the road. Route 66 is no more, nor is the large hotel, but the Big Chief Roadhouse, where cross-country travelers once dined, still remains. With an updated menu, modern patrons can enjoy burgers, pasta and several specialty pizzas. The Big Chief also has a kids' menu and nightly dinner specials.
