English Premier League clubs Chelsea (never met a trophy they didn't try to buy) and Manchester City (also-rans for years until they married a billionaire) meet for a friendly here in St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Busch Stadium (Broadway and Poplar Street; www.cardinals.com/soccer). "Friendly" means it's a non-competitive game played in the spirit of goodwill; goals will be scored but defense will be lax at best, and many of the big names will be subbed out early to avoid unnecessary injury. But still, these are world-class teams with deep rosters -- you're bound to see one or two cracking goals. The game is now sold-out, but check the website for availability as more tickets may be released closer to game time.
