Blues Eggs and Ham

The hockey devotee is a rare bird, dedicated to an arcane history the mainstream media only grant a cursory acknowledgement to, preferring instead to focus on this "football" they claim is the true new national pastime. It does not matter to the hockey fans. Who needs people who don't understand the benefit of six months of playoffs? If you are one of the initiated, you owe it to yourself to meet the St. Louis Blues at the annual Blues Breakfast Forum at the Missouri Athletic Club (405 Washington Avenue; www.mac-stl.org) at 7:30 a.m. Blues players and coaches discuss the upcoming season and hockey in general; you, the fan, can meet, greet and collect autographs from the players, who will be seated throughout the room. All you need is $30 for a ticket (available by calling the MAC at 314-539-4470 by Sunday, October 15).
