Butterflies In Effect

This Tuesday, break free of that cozy cocoon, spread your wings and get the jump on spring at the Butterfly House's March Morpho Mania celebration. With an iridescent, metallic blue wingspan measuring five to eight inches, Costa Rica's Morpho butterflies are among the largest and most beautiful of all species — and no less than 3,000 of them will be fluttering freely about the House's tropical conservatory all month long! The Butterfly House at Faust Park (15193 Olive Boulevard, Chesterfield) is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and the Morphos will be flying through Wednesday, March 31. General admission is $6 for adults, with discounts available for children and seniors. Can't make it on Tuesday? Each weekend special educational activities relating to the Morpho and conservation efforts in Costa Rica are planned at no additional cost. For more information visit www.butterflyhouse.org .
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: March 2. Continues through March 28, 2010
