Holiday concerts are pretty cool — but predictable. To have a listen to a program that's changing things up a bit, head over to Saint Vincent DePaul Church (1408 South Tenth Street) for "A Gaelic Christmas." Mary Mc Laughlin (pictured) is the featured singer during these shows, and at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, she is accompanied by members of the traditional Irish band Misla (a local group); Mc Laughlin's 2 p.m. performance on Sunday, December 23, is complemented by harpists. The program consists of familiar Christmas tunes sung in Gaelic — just try to sing along! For more information about the concerts, call 314-231-9328 or visit www.stvstl.org. Tickets cost $5 to $10.
